Checking in and growing babies

Since the patches, all my Riverview relationships are tanking like crazy. I'm suddenly getting swamped with "so and so aren't friends anymore" messages. Everybody has a stir crazy moodlet from not getting out of their houses. Some people's skills are messed up or gone, so I stopped taking notes and tracking skill levels. Story progression, whether due to the patches or not, is messing with my families, too. Daddies have moved out, people have moved out of their houses. I quit and restart and it's back to normal. Weird. The babies  keep randomly disappearing when I switch households, both their body from the house and their thumbnail from the screen. I have to wait for somebody to interact with them before they reappear.

Menuchah finally started taking care of all her dying plants. She won't harvest them, though.

She manages to look graceful and stunning even when she's getting her hands dirty in the garden.

I saw Sam and AJ doing a flirty little dance at the pub. At the instant I snapped the picture, Sam shot me a LOOK.

I sent Rachel to introduce herself. She and AJ were pleased to discover they're both the athletic type. Old Sammy was in a dancing mood that day. He danced with AJ, then with Rachel, then by himself. I gave Rachel a trait and clothing makeover so she could become the Lara Craft clone I'd envisioned her to be.

All the babies were about to age up and I didn't want to miss anything, so I went ahead and aged them up myself. I ran out of time to play today, so I'll just post the first batch of toddler pics for now.

  1. Congrats on a gorgeous set of toddlers. Freddie and Andrea are particular cuties!

Man, Sam did throw a look at you. "Back away from that camera button. NOW!" Nice to see Rachel getting to know people. Little does that Rachel know what one of her clones has been up to with Sam.

  2. The toddlers are so cute! LOL at Sam giving you a look.. he must be tired of all these darn woman spying on him! LOL

Weird about the story progression, I noticed that too now in playing yesterday afternoon, April and Jon had moved in with the Boltons.. and some single moron had moved into their enormous house! Weaton Jinxed has also moved but that one is okay since his house became severly glitched after the patch!

You know when you see all the houses with the roof up when you looking from your sim garden? His house one could only see the first floor, there was no roof and you could actually pan in from the top and they were all standing aimlessly inside.

If a sim you were visiting went there to visit, you could not get into the house to see them, but only see them from the top view, also the furniture was even completely invisible then! I have a pic of Angel Eee sitting on an invisible couch watching an invisible TV! HOW ANNOYING lol..

Anyway, once Weaton moved out the house seems fine now. No idea what that was all about.

  3. I want to comment on everything, so bear with me.

    First thought. OMG.
Pics first. Menuchah is standing so lady like.
Sam: I'm tired of you and your reality show. Then later, maybe if I turn my back, she'll go away. Sorry Sammy, well like that side too.
I've been meaning to tell you that I love the design of the dress you put on AJ.
Rachel looks so cool in those clothes. I love the adventurer clothes.

All the toddlers are just "adorable".
Sharla has those wonderful eyes and looks like she is asking someone to take her away from that stranger with the camera.
Freddie looks like he really is announcing to the world. Yes, here I am and I'm just so full of myself. See these blue eyes? They are going to get me all the girls.
Carter looks like he's saying, no, leave me here. I like having my picture taken.
Andrea just looks so sweet and innocent.
You all know that the first thing I did after patching was "save as" and then go play the "save as" game. I remember seeing one that had the stir crazy thing.

My freewill sims never did harvest in front of me unless I told them to, but the gardens didn't die.

I haven't had any problems with babies disappearing. I did see more "not friends anymore" than I used to.
As you know, some of my sims have moved in with their love interest on their own and Zayne and family moved in with my Pamela Dove on their own.
My biggest problem is with the clothes changing.

  4. The toddler pics are wonderful. Carter is definitely telling someone off camera that he's not done posing. Sam's look is hilarious. You're messing with his groove!

I'm having the hardest time getting pics since the patches. I keep getting the fishbowl effect when I go into camera mode.

Rachel is such a sweet thing but she has a determined air about her.

  5. Chrysame, if you've used x and z to zoom in and out, that sometimes gives the fishbowl effect. Try using those controls and see if you can get it back to normal.

Or press 5 (preset camera position that should be a normal angle)

  6. Thanks for the comments, as usual. I had fun taking pics of the toddlers. Some of them didn't really want to pose so I could get a good shot of their face, but as you can see, some of them like to ham it up for the camera. I think they're all really cute, but when I saw Carter and Andrea I thought "Whoa!" I think Carter's face is unique, not like the cookie cutter toddlers you see everybody posting pics of. I think he was my favorite. And Andrea, wow! I thought she was gorgeous. I couldn't stop staring at her eyes. A really unusual color, a little like her mom's but lighter. I can't even describe it. Maybe light gray.

  7. I never could describe AJ's eyes. I just kept playng around with the color until I came up with something unusual. I was trying to break out of my green eyes mode. I noticed Andrea's eyes are a very unusual color and I would have to say a little gray too.

I still don't understand why so many people think the toddlers are ugly.
